Have you or your child ever wanted to try your hand at angling but don't have a clue where to start? As part of our policy to encourage young persons to take up the sport of angling, We hold ‘Taster-days’ on Whinny Gill Reservoir each year.
Club officials and members offer their expert knowledge to those wanting to learn a new skill. All equipment and bait is provided free of charge, licences are obtained on your behalf and all fees are waivered.
We even offer a prize or two for the best fish caught on the day.
All styles of Angling are covered so if you want to try float, ledger or pole fishing we can cater for it. Due to its popular demand, pre-booking is essential.
